Not every couple wants a hundred-person celebration. If your version of a wedding day looks quieter — parents, siblings, a couple of closest friends, or just the two of you — a small beach ceremony in Phuket is one of the most beautiful ways to do it. Everything the day needs, none of the noise.

Why small suits a beach ceremony so well
The setting does the work. A Phuket beach at golden hour needs almost nothing — no floral arch, no marquee, no long tables. Add fifty guests and suddenly you need chairs, seating plans, transport blocks and a plan for after. Keep it to ten and the beach itself is the whole design.
Small weddings are also honest weddings. Everyone there is genuinely close to you. You get to speak to every person. Nobody spends the day queueing for canapés. And the photos capture the two of you together far more than they capture a room.
How small ceremonies feel at different sizes
Just the two of you
The most common Barefoot booking. Two people, a celebrant, a photographer, and any legally required witnesses arranged by us. Deeply personal, unhurried, and often the most emotional version of the day. See our Phuket beach elopement page for the two-of-you version specifically.
Two to six guests
Immediate family or your closest friends. Everyone stands barefoot around you on the sand — no chairs required. Photography naturally captures everyone. This is what most people picture when they think of a beach wedding.
Seven to ten guests
Still very much a Barefoot ceremony, worth adding a small set of chairs for older guests and possibly an extra photography hour. Transport becomes a modest piece to organise — we help with that. See extras for what's available.
More than ten
You are now planning a small event, not just a ceremony. You start needing coordinated transport, a reception venue, seating and a plan for the evening. That is a different kind of wedding — the Unique Phuket Wedding Planners team handles exactly that, properly. Full context in Phuket beach wedding with guests.

One clear price, honest extras
The Barefoot Ceremony is a fixed 36,900 THB. That covers the celebrant, the beach permit, the signing table, two floral aisle stands, a bridal bouquet, a groom's buttonhole, one hour of professional photography, transport for the couple and full personal coordination by Supparin. Full list on what's included.
For a small group you might add a champagne toast, an extra photography hour or a set of eight timber chairs — each transparently priced on extras. Nothing is added without you asking for it.
Where a small ceremony happens
Barefoot uses three approved Phuket locations for simple ceremonies: Layan Beach, Hua Beach, and Kan Eang @ Pier. Supparin picks the best one for your date based on season, tide and time of day. Compared honestly in which Phuket beach is best for a simple ceremony?
A note on the feel
The whole point of a small beach ceremony is calm. If you find yourself weighing "should we invite a few more?", it's worth asking what you actually want the day to feel like. Adding people is easy; keeping the day quiet takes intention. Almost every couple who booked a small ceremony with us says the same thing after: they would not change a person on the list.
